Your uploaded audio and charts are private to your account. Research sharing is optional and off by default.

What we keep

A passkey public key and account ID let you return to your studio. Your device or password manager holds the private key; ChartNet never receives your fingerprint or face scan. We store session and API-key hashes, job settings, generated charts, processing traces and the feedback you submit.

For abuse control, we derive a daily keyed hash from the network address supplied by Cloudflare. ChartNet does not store raw IP addresses or browser fingerprints in its database. Cloudflare may process network information as part of hosting and security. Passkeys and quotas limit accounts; they do not prove one account equals one human.

Retention and deletion

Audio and charts expire after seven days, with cleanup run daily. If you explicitly opt into model research, matching audio and charts can be retained for up to ninety days. Submitted feedback can remain for up to one year for product improvement. Delete a chart from your shelf to delete its audio, chart, trace and linked feedback. A minimal quota record remains so deletion does not reset your daily allowance.

Withdraw research consent from your shelf to exclude the job from future research exports. Previously trained model weights cannot automatically be undone; retained source examples must still be removed from future training sets. The beta does not currently run automatic retraining.

What feedback is used for

Ratings, detailed comments, timestamps, playback offset, experience level and optional corrected notes help identify failure modes. Research exports require both job-level and feedback-level consent. We link them to the exact audio and model version. Corrections are reviewed before becoming training labels; negative ratings are not automatically treated as proof that a chart is wrong.

Where processing happens

Cloudflare hosts the site, API, database and object storage. The configured inference runner processes temporary audio copies and deletes its job directory when it finishes. The built-in player plays the audio in your browser.

Upload only what you can use

Confirm that you have permission to upload the audio. Opt into research only if that permission also covers sharing the audio for model improvement. The demo music was AI-generated locally with MiniMax-Music3; ChartNet generated its chart.
